The coast between Cadzand and Breskens has continuous beaches of outstanding quality. From our home this beach and the dunes are within ten minutes walk. |

Excursions:Breskens is a fishing port and has an international marina where large sea going yachts harbour. It has a broad touristic infrastructure. Restaurants of every price class are present. Shops and supermarkets are open 7 days in the week. Surrounding historic towns and villages have characteristic architecture, shops and pubs. Oostburg is a nice market town with its Wednesday market and extensive shopping centre. Knokke is a mundane bathing place with luxurious shops, café´s and restaurants. To the North, the island of Walceheren has the historic inner cities of Middelburg and Vlissingen. The ferry tour is a nice outing in itself. The world famous historic citie of Brugge and Gent are within one hour driving; important musea and historic architecture are to be found in these lively cities. Along the coast sevral natural areas offer interesting bird life in their salty environment |
Traveling by car: |
The Westerschelde tunnel conncts with the motorway to Rotterdam. Inhabitants of the western section of Holland best find their through this route. From central, Northern, Eastern and Southern section of the Netherlands the best way is via Antwerpen. From there the express way to Knokke has to be followe until Kaprijke. From there, Breskens is signposted. |
Traveling by train: |
Vlissingen is at the end of the railway connection Amsterdam-Vlissingen. The ferry port in Breskens is just a quarter of an hour from our house; a nice walk through the dunes. |

The marina in Breskens and the ferry from Vlissingen to Breskens can be used to reach our holiday home by boat. |
